Julia Brownsword draws inspiration from the Peak District and Scottish landscapes where she runs and cycles. She works with textiles, paper, paint and stitch to create mixed-media collages that capture changing light, colour and atmosphere.

Her artwork is also translated into fabric designs and products including lanterns, lampshades and cushions.
