Whaley Bridge Canal Basin

One of Rob’s favourite views of Whaley Bridge, the Canal Basin is full of colour and reflections making it a brilliant subject for a mixed-media painting.

In this small-group workshop, I’ll guide you through creating your own interpretation of this familiar local view. We’ll explore sketching, texture, collage and acrylic paint, building up layers and experimenting with different marks and materials.

Whether you’re new to painting or more experienced, everyone is welcome. Forget about perfection and enjoy the creative process – you’ll leave with your own finished painting to take home.

All materials and refreshments are included.

We’ll be using acrylic paints and inks, so don’t wear your best jumper! Feel free to bring an apron.
